STEP 1: INSTALL THE APP
Scan the QR code on the product box or search "OBDLink" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Download and install the free app before plugging in the device.
STEP 2: CONNECT TO YOUR VEHICLE

Locate your OBD-II Port: Usually found under the driver-side dashboard.

Plug in the MX+: The green POWER LED should turn on.

Ignition ON: Turn your key to the ON position (or press Start/Stop twice without touching the brake). Note: Many Australian diesel 4WDs require the engine to be running for a stable connection.
STEP 3: PAIRING (IMPORTANT)

Open your phone's Bluetooth Settings.

Press the physical CONNECT button on the MX+ unit. The blue BT LED will flash rapidly.

Select OBDLink MX+ from your Bluetooth list to pair.

Open the OBDLink App and tap the CONNECT button in the app menu.
๐ฆ AUSTRALIAN 4WD PRO-TIPS

Ford Ranger / Everest: Open the OBDLink app settings to download the Free Ford Enhanced Add-on. This unlocks Transmission Temp and DPF monitoring.

Toyota HiLux / LandCruiser: For 2007+ models, use the Toyota Enhanced Add-on to track exhaust gas temps and injector values.

FORScan Users: Always "Force Close" the OBDLink app before opening FORScan. The device can only talk to one app at a time!
โ ๏ธ TROUBLESHOOTING (Read this before emailing!)
| If you see... | Try this... |
| No LEDs on the device | Check your vehicle's OBD/Cigarette lighter fuse. If that's blown, the port has no power. |
| "Unable to Connect" | 1. Unplug device. 2. "Forget" Bluetooth connection on phone. 3. Plug back in and re-pair. |
| App connects, but no data | Ensure the engine is actually running. Some AU-spec ECUs stay "asleep" until the alternator is spinning. |
| BimmerCode issues | Put your phone in Airplane Mode (with Bluetooth ON) to prevent interference from CarPlay or calls. |
| Device is "Glitchy" | Factory Reset: Hold the physical button for 15 seconds until the green light flashes. |
